Welding Machines maybe used to provide power for pre and postweld
heat treatment operations. Control of the welding machines is obtained
by connecting a controller fitted with a 300 amp input and output socket
for each channel located on the rear panel.
The unit has a standard temperature range of 0-2000 degrees “F”.
Other
temperature ranges are available, if required. Each version of the unit
has type ‘K’ polarized thermocouple input/output sockets to
which a temperature
recorder can be connected.
Temperature Controllers
P-256 Programmer / Controller
The (P-256) is a self-contained programmable profile generator
complete with 6 channels of temperature control, each of which has
a time proportional output relay. Each controller may be set to
operate in either the “manual” mode, whereby an operator
selects the output temperature set point, or “automatic”
mode where the output temperature of the controller
will follow is automatically generated by the set point profile
generator. |

When in the automatic mode, the profile
set point for any channel may be offset by +/- 90 degrees F, or the
set point for any channel may be clamped at any value between 32 and
2000 degrees F (+/- 50 degrees C; 0-1200 degrees C). |
For use with manual 6-way power sources
Supplied complete with multi pin interface cable and plug to mate with
receptacle
on back of power source. Cable adapters with 6 individual hubble
plugs for older style units available on special request. Fully wired
with 6-way type ‘K’ T/C jack panel, AC power cord, mounting feet
and top lifting handle.
You can expand to more than 6-channels by adding S-256 controller modules
of 6-channels each.
| The unit converts a 3-phase / 480V / 280kW
power supply to control up to (18) 277V heaters for post weld heat
treatment of closing seams on pressure vessels and also poweringtemporary
furnace installations. The unit has a 400A 3- phase incoming isolater
and a 500Va double wound transformer providing auxiliary power to
remote temperature recorder / programmer units. Each channel controls
three heaters and has the following features. |

The unit has 150 Amp, 3-phase mains isolater
facility for
Auto/Manual switching each zone. Temperature controller
